The Garden – Synchronicity
I am reading “Autobiography of a Yogi” by Paramhansa Yogananda. I was very surprised to find this book, and more so that I had not ever heard of it before when it is considered one of the most well-known books about eastern philosophy.
Just today I read Yogananda’s description of how his guru explained the metaphor of Adam and Eve. To summarize briefly, he said the story described the human being’s arrival on the planet as less physical, close to Creator status, with the ability to create without the physical process of procreation. It was never intended that we procreate through sexual reproduction. Once we did, we, became more immersed in the physical and “lost” to the knowledge, i.e, Eden, of knowing our divine essence.
I found this interesting, but, then, hours later, I happened to watch a video of William Linville, walk-in, and, he was asked “Why are we here?”. I was astonished as I began to hear him begin the same description. Two more different sources could possibly be imagined. Randomly I poked around looking at youtube.
Aha! So-what’s super clear to me is that the most important Life Purpose is Remembering one’s Divinity. Embodying Spirit. Stepping beyond.
